#BLACKLIVESMATTER

I feel in the plight of everything that is happening and everything that is yet to happen, it is really highlighting the very, very prevalent ignorance which pollutes the internet. It is not by force to do up twitter fingers for the sake of saying something. It is actually okay to not know the answers; it is okay to educate yourself before saying something. A lot of people do not know Black history like that and do not know why we are fighting so hard for change and that is okay. Having said that, some people have the knowledge, some people are well informed, some people understand the political climate but still choose to be obtuse to what is right in front of them.

It is not the oppression Olympics. It is not a matter of one life being of more value than another. It is a simple acknowledgement that #BlackLivesMatter. They always have and they always will. The projection of valuing and acknowledging Black lives has been a concept which has not and is not reflected in and amongst all institutions in society. How many Black executives, CEO’s, executive directors of big corporate companies can you name? How many black teachers and headteachers are within primary and secondary education? How many Black lecturers are present in higher education? The proportion of Black people in education, in positions of considerable power, in politics is considerably lesser than Caucasian counterparts. Institutional racism is projection of the maintenance of the status quo, a maintenance of a system which is meant to disable Black people from excelling in their jobs and careers, a maintenance of white capitalism. Everything needs to change.

Racism is really two Virgil’s. You are either racist or you are not. There should be no if’s and’s or but’s about it. On several occasions I have seen people advocating racism by comparing the #BlackLivesMatter movement to terrorism, saying they "want their feeds back to normal", mf’s can’t be racist because they have black kids, black friends, black boyfriends and girlfriends all of which does not enable an anti-racist narrative. So many excuses as to why you are not racist but what are you doing to use your privilege? What are you doing to advocate anti-racism? What are you doing to educate yourself? Why must there be an excuse for why you aren't racist? Ignorance is really that bliss.

The future is Black. From the music you listen to and the clothes you wear, Black people really are the wave. We always have been and we always will be. Everyone wants to be black but when it's time to BE Black, mf's are nowhere to be seen, *insert black fisher who can wash off their melanin when its time to be white again*.

Use your privilege, educate yourself, educate those around you, Black lives have and always will matter.

BLM GON' NEED MORE PRESS

When Cardi B said, ‘bitches be pressed’, she wasn’t mf lying. Bitches be PRESSED, but bitches be pressed about the wrong things. Since the BLM has caught serious media attention, and the racists have been exposing themselves, I’ve noticed that people really don’t like it when they aren't met with silence. Everyday why is it race relations but did you check yourself before you wrecked yourself? Black lives really rattle people, inject iiiittttttttt !!!!    People don’t like it when you don't comply with ignorance. People don’t like talking about racism because man "dont see colour". People don’t like it when Black and Brown people are talking about the never-ending oppression that we’ve had to endure through no choice of our own because “we’re not our ancestors”. All this ignorance and complacency brings me to re-introduce the town I live in and the obtuseness it’s almost always escorted by. This town has a very prominent community page on Facebook which is mostly us

Fake it 'till You Make It

In the age of social media, I must say, there are some really pretty motherfuckers out there. Really and truly, but with that also comes the thief of joy.  These days I can't go on any social media app without comparing myself to the 12/10 BBL baddies on TikTok who have probably used an app to make their asses fatter than they really are. Even though I am fully aware of this, comparison never leaves the chat.   I know that I am wonderfully and fearfully made. I know that I have a 10/10 personality. I know whoever ends up with me is going to be the luckiest man on Earth, but none of this stops me from thinking that I could be doing more to make myself look better. Should I get my hip dips filled? Are my lips big enough? How do I get in touch with Ari the Don's surgeon? Which out of my tax bracket products are the rich and famous using on their face? HOW CAN I LOOK LIKE KIM K? LOL, kidding guys. I'm black. Kim K wants to look like me - well not anymore lol. Anyways, I reall

3 us man !

I’ve been trying to refrain from writing anything for the best part of this lockdown due to my mental health being in the gutter, but with lockdown easing in a few days, I think it might induce high serotonin levels of the entirety of the UK. I can only speak for myself, but this lockdown has truly been the toughest one of them all. I feel like with the other two it was just all up in the air; the first one was completely unknown to us, the second one was like ok no direction just vibes, but THIS ONE has been a true testament to the attachment I have to planet earth. I think sometimes when the tough times LAST, you begin to question yourself and your feelings and for me it only makes things worse. Pre-covid if we were having bad days we could take ourselves on dates, go for dinner with a friend, literally everything we have currently not been permitted to do and tbh not being able to cheer yourself up sucks. Ordering clothes ain't doing it for me like it used to (hasn't stop
